Radiation Sickness

This guy kinda reminds me of something from the remake of The Hills Have Eyes. Drawn during another meeting at work.

So late last night I was loading up some stuff in the van after a family party at a park- I slipped on a curb and twisted the hell out of my right ankle. Fortunately I didn't break anything, but I tore some ligaments and seriously sprained it. Did the same thing about 20 years ago... I really hate it when things like that happen!

Freaked Out Freaks

I sketched both of these freaks during a meeting a few weeks ago at work. I have had them staring at me from my desk for the past few days, so I figured I better post them here before they get upset and try to eat me for lunch.

More freaks from the asylum in my head

Just put this together for my Deviantart page. I had another pile of recent sketches (with the exception of the DBT zombie- the guy with the inverted baseball cap...he's a bit older than the rest of these)that I wanted to get posted. I dig being able to scan in my sketches and compile them all together like this. I came up with the weird retro green background and added the odd shapes to put the sketches in. Many of these are "blob sketches" which is a great way to get the creativity flowing, and others are just a result of sitting down with the sketch book and some Micron pens. Lately I have been drawing much more than usual, and I am enjoying it immensely. Nothing like a good drawing session to make everything better!!

Mordacious Sketches Series

While I am at work, there are many opportunities for me to sneak in some sketch time. After several months, these random sketches end up scattered across lots of note books, meeting note pages and on the back of printer pages. The other night I gathered up a bunch of these sketches and scanned them all, took em into Photoshop and started making some pages filled with these sketches. This is the result. I don't take these too seriously, some of them I really like, others are pretty fast and lame, but thats the point of sketches isn't it? If not I guess we would call them "Portfolio Books" rather than sketch books. I find it enjoyable to see some of these sketches again, as after a month or two I forget that I even drew them, so it is fun to see them and wonder what on earth I was thinking about when I drew them. Some of these may have been posted on this blog in the past, but I wanted to compile all of them together, so there should be plenty of new stuff as well. Hope you like them! Lots more to come!!
