The Monster Convention

So I have not posted anything for almost 5 days. What's the deal? Well, I typically don't get on my computer on the weekends, and this week I also spent the first 3 days at a monster convention. Actually, it was officially the "Digital Technology Users Group conference", or in other words, a convention for the users of the newspaper layout software produced by the company I work for. Don't get me wrong, I am not calling it a monster convention because of the attendees- they are all great people, and it is usually a very informative convention. I call it a monster convention because it gave me a LOT of extra time to draw- so, naturally I drew myself into a happy little oblivion! I managed to draw a good number of detailed monster blob sketches, so I will post them throughout the day today as time allows. Here's the first one- some sort of long jawed creature. Hope everyone is doing well, and I will post more monsters soon!

Yay--Monster blobs!!

These are very cool! I especially like the guy with the single eye and two horns...he has a sweet quality about him. :)

Your line work is terrific, Patrick...love the variation in line width that creates so much visual interest. You can really *feel* the form in your drawings.

(Yeah, okay, that sounded like a bit much for little monster blobs but hey--I love 'em. :))
