Illustration Friday - FAT

Fat, and Ugly, and..... Needing some color? This lovely creature has been around for a long time. I need to use him somewhere- maybe a character in a comic book? I dunno. This was losely inspired by Stephen King's book "IT"- at least the X-Acto Blade teeth were. I always wanted to draw a character with razor blades for teeth. (I imagine that must be pretty bad for causing cankers!) Couldn't ever bring myself to draw a clown with razor teeth tho- I hate clowns. I imagine this character would be someone you would want to avoid using the phrase "Bite Me!" with. Drawn with a micron marker, strange circular pattern added with Photoshop.

Fat, and scary! Did you ever think of designing Halloween masks? It's an awesome drawing.

very cool Patrick! I reckognize the blades I use them often and do cut myself at least once a year...very scary the thought of a mouthful of sharp ones. I hate clowns too they are creepy...makes me think of John Wayne Gacy.

I would not want to run into this guy in a dark alley or anywhere else for that matter. Great job with this!

BTW, looks fine without color.

Wow, those teeth are just too creative! Very cool. :)

Excellent job on this one...beautiful inking job. Would be fun to see in color, but it most definitely stands alone as a terrific illustration.

Terrific! I love how richly detailed it is. Very scary. Good luck to you in 2006! By the looks of things you'll do well. Just remember - self-promote ruthlessly - sales are everything.

I think he'd make one of those great 80's rockstars-nicely drawn!
