Color Test
This one was just another bit of practice in Photoshop coloring. I seem to remember reading a short story by Stephen King about a young kid who is fishing and ends up meeting the devil, and as I recall, King described the devil as having flaming eyes or something to that effect. I wonder if the eye coloring here was a result of that? Guess I should make notes as I am working on these things. I wasn't overly happy with the colors on this guy until today- he is working for me now. It was interesting coloring on top of the stippled black and white line art, I had to be really careful not to get too dark as the stippling adds a lot of blacks to the whole thing. This character was an early development idea for use on a heavy metal band's CD cover.

Hey Patrick,
Looks great! You seem to be handling the coloring pretty well. Been playing around with some photoshop coloring myself lately. A bit scarry in the beginning, but fun once you get started. Just out of curiosity, do you do a lot of poster designs? your style suits it very well.
Keep up the good work:)

Looks really good. The eyes really glow on my laptop screen.
I can't wait until my graphics tablet comes next week. I'm tired of my touch pad on my laptop.
Can't wait to really start playing with Photoshop and Illustrator.
Very cool! I love the patternish-thing you did with the head on the background.
My favorite part is the pattern of heads in the back... It's a really fun touch. :)
